We created this resource to be used as a visual reference to accompany any of your lessons or activities. Use this strategy as a guide for lesson planning. Students can refer to the visuals when using the strategy. Collect data on how well the student can use the strategy using the attached rubrics.

Visual Reference
-Use this as a guide when teaching your students the strategy and incorporate it into your lesson plan. Teach the strategy, provide them with an activity of your choice and then score how well they use the strategy using the rubric. Providing them with the rubric also helps them to understand what’s expected of them when using the strategy.

Bookmark
-Print (we like to use Astrobrights colored paper), cut and laminate. These bookmarks are easily available for students when they need to refer to a strategy. Keep them in their folders, notebooks, or pencil cases. Great for carryover into the classroom.

Mini Rubrics
-Print and cut out these rubrics. Attach them to students work to provide them with instant feedback, to monitor progress and collect data.

Poster
-Print (we like to use Astrobrights colored paper), laminate and hang in your classroom so students can easily refer to this strategy.

Checklist
-Print (we like to use Astrobrights colored paper) and cut. Each checklist is 5×7. This allows you to put it in a 5×7 picture frame. Students love to use a dry erase marker to check off each box as they complete a step. You can also laminate them and put a binder ring on it to hold them together.
-Two checklists included:
-Self-Monitoring Checklist: After using the strategy, students can check their work.
-Steps to Follow Checklist: Use this checklist as a guide when using a strategy.
